Asbestos and Dust Diseases Research Institute
Your support will directly help the Asbestos and Dust Diseases Research Institute (ADDRI) which is the only stand-alone, dedicated medical research institute focused on asbestos and dust-related diseases in Australia, with a national and international footprint.
ADDRI conducts biomedical (pre-clinical), clinical and epidemiological/public health research into asbestos and dust-related diseases to discover new lifesaving treatments for mesothelioma. Our dedicated mesothelioma support service works closely with patients and their families to help them through the difficult journey they face.
From an industrial perspective, all asbestos and dust diseases are preventable. From a clinical perspective, asbestos/dust related diseases are difficult to diagnose and from the victims’ perspective, these diseases are painful and too often fatal.
ADDRI is desperately working to discover better treatments to truly tackle head-on these dreadful diseases. Thank you for supporting those working/running with us in this year’s City to Surf 23.
